We strive to be... Transparent & Authentic
Hello, thank you for visiting our site! You may be wondering what our perspective is on breeding dogs? First, we don't breed dogs, we match life companions. We own all of our dogs, so that we can make breeding decisions based on temperament, genetics and personality as well as match sires and dams whose traits complement one another to produce outstanding high quality puppies that align with breed standards. We run full panel DNA Tests on prospective sires and dams and in our contract, we offer a lifetime health guarantee that your puppy will remain free of any of the genetic conditions that our parents are tested for. Our parents are cleared before we consider breeding. We only breed one litter at a time, so that we may focus intently on the development of each puppy as an individual. We will not breed if the demand is not there. With that said, if you are interested in our program, it is best to go onto our waitlist.
Our pups start their first program as early as 3 days old, Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) which greatly improves their ability to recover from stress later in life. Thereafter, pups go into the MadCap University's Puppy Culture socialization program concurrently with the BAB program (by Jeanette Forrey). Additionally, we incorporate our own experiences with raising dogs to begin training them. They receive 4 temperament evaluations reflecting adjustable versus non-adjustable traits during their first 10 weeks of life. These snapshots show us what we need to work on with the puppy, as well as where they show consistency with non-adjustable traits (personality). At 49 days old, the puppies also receive a Volhard assessment. All of their results are then published and we strongly encourage families wait for at least 2 evaluations and the Volhard before picking a puppy. Lastly, routines are important! All of our pups are preconditioned to various training methods and routines so they can transition into their new lives with minimal discomfort. Immediately upon transition from the neonate period of development, we expose pups to various sounds, smells, and handling, eventually working this into producing conditioned (positive) emotional responses (CER) to certain stimuli such as a whistle or clicker which is then used for continued training. As the pups grow in their enrichment seeking mindsets, we begin working with them on potty training, recall, resource guarding, crate training, leash walking/heeling, how to ask for attention, and the all time favorite -- a night time routine!
We are small and family-based and put all of our of focus into the health of our dogs and our future litters. Our dogs are raised inside of our home in a clean environment with lots of outside enrichment on our property. We feed our dogs organic high quality dog food (PawTree) with no additives, corn, or fillers. We make our own cleaning solution via salt water vinegar electrolysis to naturally disinfect our dog and puppy areas and have had great success with hypochlorous acid. We also use various homeopathic remedies, essential oils, and hormone mimicking scents in our program. On the flip side, we also believe in vaccination, parasite preventatives, and regular deworming. All of our puppies and adult dogs receive top quality veterinary care.
Please follow us on social media to see various content, training sessions, current puppy progress, and training tips for new owners. We always wish to remain as transparent as possible with our processes as to demonstrate the compassion and love we have for our dogs and for our families and their new fur-babies. You will always have our lifetime support.
From time to time, we may adopt out adult dogs, that either are apart of our program or from another program. When these dogs are posted, you can specify an interest in these dogs on our Client Questionnaire as well.
- Our Toy Australian Shepherd parents are ASDR/AKC registered with Champion Bloodlines and Titles (Most of our parents are shown with ASDR)
