Hoffman Forest Acres LLC is located in Williamson County, Tennessee which is approximately 40 minutes southwest of Nashville. We own a small forest (apx. 30 acres) in rural Fairview. We are a small family-based business. We place a strong emphasis on canine genetic diversity and sustaining a lower than average breed coi (coefficient of inbreeding) to optimize health. We evaluate parent dog's alignment to breed standards before every planned pairing. We also carefully select and own all of our breeding dogs to be able to make pairing decisions based on parents' dispositions, temperament, prospect, traits, size, and conformation. All of our dogs have extensive pedigrees and are genetically guaranteed to be 100% purebred. We run full health and DNA panels on our prospective sires and dams through PawPrints Genetics, GenSol (NAD Testing), and Embark. We focus on the continious improvement of our Border Collies and Toy Aussies through generations and trait selection. We strive to produce genetically healthy, very well socialized pups that have unique temperaments and reflect the beauty and intelligence of their respective bloodlines as well as have longevity in your family. We strive to produce dogs for purpose, and focus on preserving the working instinct within all of our lines. Our dogs can be tried for agility, trick dog, working livestock, and/or performance and show. Our parent dogs are carefully selected to represent the best traits of the breed. We are not a high volume breeder, and also work with rescues in-between litters. We have raised, trained, and rehabilitated dozens and dozens of dogs. We have studied and obtained various credits pertaining to dog behavior and continuously stive to learn more each and every day to improve our program. This is not just a source of income for us, it is a God driven passion, and we are very proud of our program. We stand by our new families 100% of the time and would not want it any other way.
